With headquarters in Europe, it is expanding throughout Africa via a growing network of university campuses and learning centres to facilitate blended and open learning options. Unicaf currently has a physical presence in 12 countries and has plans to expand to 5 additional countries within the next two years.

Unicaf, through its partner universities, offers Bachelor, Master’s and Doctoral degrees in partnership with UK, US and African universities. Current partnerships include Liverpool John Moores University (UK), the University of East London (UK), the University of Suffolk (UK), and Unicaf University which is a pan-African university with local and British accreditation. In addition to the fully online degrees, Unicaf through Unicaf University offers a range of academic programmes through its campus network. Besides online and on-campus studies, Unicaf provides a wide range of professional short courses.

Unicaf developed a scholarship programme that has awarded more than $100 million worth of scholarships, enabling thousands of qualified students to study for internationally recognised degrees at a fraction of the cost and positively transform their lives.

We work closely with our partner universities to develop custom-made services and solutions that include market strategy and research; marketing and enrolment; technology, programme design and conversion; and institution-wide support, covering the entire student journey. Our comprehensive  cloud-based digital platform  of tightly integrated technology and services provides the digital infrastructure that universities need to recruit, enrol, teach, and support students at scale.

Unicaf uses the latest technology and innovative tools to enhance instructional methods’ effectiveness and improve the student learning experience. The digital platform is essentially an integrated ecosystem of technology, people, and data. Unicaf’s state-of-the-art digital platform provides a range of services from the time a student clicks on an advert until the time the student graduates.

University information

The entry requirements for postgraduate admission are:

  • An accredited UK Honours degree with minimum 2.2 classification or international equivalent. Some professional qualifications may also be considered. 
  • Official transcripts from all universities, colleges and other post-secondary educational institutions attended.
  • English Proficiency: Students satisfy the English proficiency requirements provided they present a GCSE score with a minimum grade of “C” or IELTS (Academic) with an overall score of at least 6.0 (and no individual component lower than 5.5) or equivalent qualification. Students who do not acquire the above mentioned qualifications are required to take the online Academic English Placement Test. This is an IELTS-type test (Reading & Writing) where students need to score an overall 6.0 (with no individual component lower than 5.5).
  • Personal Statement (minimum 500 words) explaining how the programme of study will benefit the student’s career progression.
  • Up to date CV
  • Two references (academic or professional) listed on CV stating referee’s full name, contact details, and relationship to the applicant.


Applications from non-standard applicants are welcome and will be considered individually.

Unicaf has established state-of-the-art campuses in  MalawiZambiaUganda  and is in the process of expanding its university network. In addition to the Unicaf University campuses, students also have at their disposal the modern facilities of the Unicaf learning centres around the world.

 

Unicaf University is a licensed  University in Malawi, Zambia, Uganda and provisionally accredited/licensed in Zimbabwe; it is also approved to recruit students in Kenya. Unicaf University in Malawi  is  accredited by the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE), and Unicaf University in Zambia is  accredited  by the Higher Education Authority(HEA). Unicaf University campuses in Zambia and Malawi are also accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) as an Independent Higher Education Provider. Unicaf University campus in Malawi is a full member of the Association of African Universities .

 

Unicaf University is a proud member of the  United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) , the  Southern African Regional Universities Association (SARUA)  in Zambia and Malawi, and the  Advance HE .  Additionally, the University is a full member of the  Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) , the world’s oldest international University network established in 1913 in the UK.  The Association provides avenues for collaboration and cooperation among members in developing and sharing good practice for international higher education.
