The Exeter MBA

The Exeter MBA takes personal transformation and leadership seriously, drawing on both careers coaching and research from the Business School’s Exeter Centre for Leadership (ExCL).

Designed for ambitious professionals with at least three years of work experience, our internationally accredited MBA programme can help you accelerate or redirect your career and will equip you with skills in purposeful leadership, innovation and technology to transform yourself and the world around you for good.

You will develop a solid grounding in business disciplines through core modules, and you will have the opportunity to tailor the programme to your individual interests and career needs with our range of elective specialist modules. The MBA Consultancy Project will provide a unique opportunity to develop and apply the knowledge, skills and mindset gained throughout the duration of your MBA. You will add value to a client organisation while solving the needs of a real organisation facing genuine business challenges.

We are committed to the personal and professional development of our MBA students, using a wide variety of creative teaching approaches. Take advantage of experiential learning through study trips, company visits, corporate challenges and consultancy projects for partner organisations, which complement workshops led by business practitioners and academics who are specialists in their field.

Your Career

Your MBA Consultancy Project will be a key piece of the jigsaw enabling you to move from your pre-MBA role, organisation or sector onto your new career path.

Through our active support we will:

• Provide personalised one-to-one careers coaching with our dedicated, fully qualified MBA Careers Consultant.
• Provide access to a range of careers fairs and events.

Each student can choose a project with an organisation that will help to enhance their future career in areas such as entrepreneurship, strategy, innovation, marketing, international business, sustainability, finance and general business.

Applying

Admission to the Exeter MBA programme is usually dependent upon a good first degree and a minimum of three years’ post-graduation managerial work experience. If you don’t have a first degree but can demonstrate significant (8+ years) work experience and career progression you may still be eligible.
