Ranked the world’s “#2 Joint-EMBA” by QS (2019 rankings) and the world’s “#4 EMBA” by Financial Times (2017 rankings), the EMBA-Global Asia programme, launched in 2008, is a partnership between HKU, London Business School and Columbia Business School. It is designed to meet the growing need for leaders who wish to understand Western and Eastern business practices, and those who wish to acquire the global perspective and leadership skills to navigate today’s international marketplace. 


Students of EMBA-Global Asia have the privilege to learn from world-renowned faculty from the world’s three top business schools. Core courses are delivered in Hong Kong, with two class weeks in London, two in New York, and one in Shanghai. Students can choose to study their electives at any one of the three b-schools. The programme can be completed in 20 months. 


Students need to study 12 core courses, 9 electives and 1 International Seminar (or Global Business Assignment) in order to graduate. Normally, students can complete all the above in a duration between 16 and 20 months. (Maximum time allowable: within 4 years) Study locations include Hong Kong, London, New York, Shanghai and an additional city/country (for “International Assignment”).
