About University of Natural Resources and Applied Life Sciences Vienna
The university was an agricultural institute in 1872. The main and original campus was built in 1896. It was built in the Türkenschanzpark in Vienna's 18th and 19th districts. The faculty of Sustainable Agriculture, Viticulture, Soil Science, Horticulture, and Animal Husbandry are here. Another campus is not far from the Heiligenstadt subway station. The faculty of biotechnology, chemistry, plant sciences, water resource management, and food sciences are here.
From 2004/2005 the university introduced bachelor-type degrees, masters degrees, and doctoral degrees. In that time the 40 institutes of faculty was minimized to 13 departments. But the university has 15 departments.
