Tuition fees

For students studying the full-time Lancaster MBA programme, Lancaster University offers a range of scholarships up to a maximum award of £16,000. The value of your scholarship will be decided using the following criteria. This will be evidenced in your application form and discussed during your interview:
  • Excellent academic record.
  • Excellent managerial experience.
  • Evidence of responsible leadership, such as involvement in volunteering, community support activity or sustainability initiatives.
  • Applicants who will bring an increased diversity to the class.

What are the different types of MBA programmes Lancaster University offers?
Lancaster University has three types of MBA programme: one full-time programme and two part-time programmes. The Lancaster MBA is a full-time programme designed for people with at least three years’ professional work experience who want to advance in their careers. The Lancaster Executive MBA is a part-time programme designed for people with at least five years' professional/managerial work experience.    
Lancaster’s MBA programmes emphasise practical, work-focused assignments in their curriculum, giving MBA students good prospects when they graduate.  

Lancaster University Management School’s diverse and high-achieving alumni network is made up of more than 50,000 Management School graduates. Alumni are regularly invited to events in UK cities like London and Oxford, and they can join alumni groups in several continents.  

Lancaster is the university closest to the geographic centre of Great Britain. Just 1 hour from Manchester or Liverpool or 2.5 hours from London, Glasgow or Edinburgh, Lancaster is well connected and easy to get to.  

Full-time MBA:

We focus on developing your practical wisdom and capacity for judgment in the turbulent world of international business.

You will complete our unique Mindful Manager and Core Capabilities modules and Action Learning challenges that weave together deep philosophical learnings and practical skills development.

Your sessions will typically involve group work and interactive discussion to draw out your experiences and relate them to the topic at hand.

In addition to exams and in-class tests, we will ask you to complete reports, reflective experiential learning papers, and academic essays, and deliver presentations. 

Executive MBA:

We are launching a redesigned programme in 2026 designed to fit in with working full-time and studying part-time.

We offer online teaching combined with intensive in-person teaching blocks.

Our programme gives you practical, work-focused assignments, where you apply and evaluate theories you learn and create actionable recommendations for your organisation
