The SSE MBA Executive Format is an advanced general management program for high-caliber individuals with live learning pedagogy, and sustainability integrated throughout the whole program. The overall purpose and goal of the program is to prepare you for building, leading and developing organizations in the global arena. It is delivered part-time, enabling you to continue working while pursuing your degree. Included are three mandatory international field trips to Latvia, Singapore, and Silicon valley, as well as two elective weeks at SSE campuses and within the Global Network for Advanced Management. The program lets you earn an MBA degree and three certificates for courses given in collaboration with Stanford Engineering Center for Global & Online Education, National University of Singapore, and the Global Network for Advanced Management.

Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) was founded in 1909 by representatives from the business community. The school still has a very strong relationship with Swedish and international business. Among our Corporate Partners you find big multinational companies like Ericsson, H&M, ABB, Atlas Copco and Scania to mention a few. The school is the leading business school in the Nordic region and is known for its high quality research and educational programs. Class size is approximately 50 participants which guarantees high interaction with our top-faculty and a personal and open learning environment.
Sweden is a small country but has more multinational companies per capita than any other country in the world. In these companies many of the senior leadership positions have been or are held by SSE Alumni. A network that you will be part of after your graduation from the SSE MBA Executive Format. Sweden has a strong base in traditional business but is also a hot spot when it comes to future business, fashion industry and new technology. Companies like Spotify, Skype, Mojang, Acne, Filippa K and House of Dagmar can be mentioned. With its many global head quarters, its many world-class universities, its cultural institutions and creative industries, Stockholm has become an internationally recognized innovation center. We strive for diversity in the class room. Our participants have different academic and cultural backgrounds, and work in different industries and positions. Some are entrepreneurs, some work in middle sized organizations and others work in large multinational organizations. Most have extensive international experience. Average age is 37 with 12 years of work experience. In our class of 2018 with 48 participants, 48 % come from outside Sweden and 19 countries are represented. What our participants have in common is that they are ambitious, eager to learn more, want to develop and move forward.
The idea behind MBALive is to bring the real world into the program and the program into the real world. All participants carry out a series of smaller and larger live projects in their own organizations. The aim is to develop an understanding of the complexity and dynamics of organizations and you develop recommendations for actions, drive genuine and measurable change and reflect on real-time developments. The largest live projects are ChangeLive, SustainabilityLive and LeadershipLive. In LeadershipLive you develop your personal leadership style through coaching sessions and training in skills such as idea generation, negotiation and presentation. Your manner of speaking, writing and listening helps determine your success, and the role of contextual and practical leadership will be highlighted throughout the program.
We believe that CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) is important for organizations to consider in order to achieve and sustain competitive advantage. Therefore, already the first program week participants start a course called "Sustainability Management". The aim is to expose participants to an understanding of the area of responsibility and sustainability in business, as well as to reflect on how these issues impact business strategies and value creation. Since this is the starting point of the SSE MBA program, these important issues are top of mind throughout the entire program.
