The QS Masters in Business Analytics Rankings 2018 represents the first time a major ranking has been released for top business analytics programs. There are a number of reasons why we believed now was the right time to compile such a ranking.

Recruiters are looking for strong business analytics skills in their hires more than ever. This has led to the increase of business analytics programs being offered, by top business schools across the world.

Along with the rising popularity of business masters programs in general, this year QS have decided to release its largest and most comprehensive suite of business education rankings to date. This includes the most-evolved rankings of MBA programs we have ever compiled, the QS Global MBA Rankings 2018, along with the inaugural QS Business Masters Rankings 2018.

The Business Masters Rankings 2018 consist of the QS Masters in Business Analytics Rankings 2018, the QS Masters in Management Rankings 2018 and the QS Masters in Finance Rankings 2018.

To help prospective students narrow down programs based on their desired career path and their main requirements from the degree, we include five key indicators.

The five key indicators for the Masters in Business Analytics Rankings 2018 are: ‘Employability’(30%), ‘Alumni Outcomes’ (20%), ‘Value for Money’ (20%), ‘Thought Leadership’ (20%) and ‘Class & Faculty Diversity’ (10%).

So who came out on top this year?

The US is certainly showing the rest of the world the way when it comes to Masters in Business Analytics programs. In fact, 14 of the top 20 programs in the Masters in Business Analytics Rankings 2018 are based in the US, with MIT’s Sloan School of Management topping the list.

Elsewhere in the top 10, US schools feature heavily, including the McCombs School of Business, USC Marshall School of Business and Carlson School of Management.

While the US might be leading the way, there is an international feel to the top of the rankings with Australia’s Melbourne Business School, the UK’s Alliance Manchester Business School and Warwick Business School, along with Spain’s IE Business School all appearing towards the top of the rankings.
