New Year, New Dean for the HEC Paris MBA

The international reputation of the HEC Paris MBA program has certainly grown under the leadership of Garrette, moving up in QS’s regional rankings for Europe from 9th in 2011/12 to 4th in 2014/15. This was something asserted by HEC Paris’s general director, Peter Todd, as he gave thanks to Garrette:

“Under his direction, the international renown of the (MBA) program has been reinforced, in the same way as the quality and implementation of the curriculum.” You can read a recent TopMBA.com debate in which Garrette speaks in favor of the MBA specialization here.  

Masini joined HEC Paris from London Business School in 2010 as a professor in operations management and IT and has been teaching MBA classes in supply chain and operations management as well as in technology strategy. He has also taught at EMBA and PhD level.

With a background in mechanical engineering, Masini turned to the study of management in his PhD at INSEAD and is particularly interested in the organizational impact of technological innovations.

Recent research conducted by HEC Paris’s new MBA chief has also extended to renewable energy and sustainable development. In the run up to the climate change talks held by the UN in Paris in November (COP21), Masini discussed the importance of getting more renewable energy into the global mix and in implementing their related technologies.
