Top Masters in Management Programs by Region

Each year, many international students choose to go to study for their business masters programs in Canada.

It’s unsurprising as to why with Canada’s liberal visa policies and openness to international students – and seeing as both English and French are spoken as official languages, international students can fit right in immediately.

Sauder’s nine-month program runs annually from August to the end of May; the average cohort features 50-60 students with an average age of 23. Students can get involved with the Community Business Project and MM Study Abroad Programs.

Ivey’s full-time MSc program is 16-months with streams in Business Analytics, Digital Management or International Business. The curriculum is delivered using Ivey’s case study method, in fact, Ivey is the only case-based program in Canada, employing the use of over 150 cases a year. 

HEC Montréal’s MSc International Business program is 16-24 months, teaching students about market globalization, strategic challenges of internationalization, and international social development and innovation. Campus Abroad is a 2- to 3-week intensive course in one of eight selected countries.

This year’s Masters in Management ranking features 86 business schools from across Europe. When it comes to the region, you really do have your pick of the litter when deciding where to study.

For the second year in a row, HEC Paris’ MSc in Strategic Management lands the top spot not only in Europe, but on the global stage. The 12-month HEC Paris MBA program earned a perfect score for alumni outcomes – allowing for even more networking prospects for grads.

Similarly, London Business School’s Masters in Management earned the silver position within Europe and around the world. LBS’ program is for recent graduates with less than two years of postgraduate work experience, and it can be completed anywhere between 12-16 months.

ESSEC’s 12-month MSc in Strategy & Management of International Business climbed up to 3rd spot from 4th this year.  

Asia offers diverse business culture, course offerings, and experience to students hoping to pursue a MiM in the continent. And although there is a huge diversity in the language spoken on the continent, many of the top schools will offer programs in English.

IIM Bangalore’s program is two years long (featuring six trimesters) with a summer project intermediary. IIMB has multi-disciplinary Centres of Excellence focussing on different areas, including, Capital Markets, Corporate Governance & Citizenship, Entrepreneurship, and more.

IIM Ahmedabad’s PGP program isn’t too dissimilar to IIM Bangalore’s. Ahmedabad two-year program focuses on management disciplines and developing business knowledge foundations and management theory.

Shanghai Jiao Tong (Antai) Master in Management Science and Engineering is taught in Chinese. The program aims to teach management theory, computer science and technology and application.

With close ties to the growing business market in Asia, choosing to study for a Master in Management in Australia seems like a no brainer. And let’s not forget about all the extracurricular activities to enjoy from surfing to hiking across the golden isle.

The University of Sydney Business School’s Master in Management can be undertaken in 12 months full-time of two years part-time. Students will be part of a hand-picked group of around 50 students, and students can look forward to gaining hands-on experience working with multinational corporations such as Deloitte, PwC and Procter and Gamble.

Similarly, Sydney Business School at the University of Wollongong’s Master of Business program is 1.5 years full-time (or part-time equivalent); or two years if combined with another master's program. There are three intakes a year, and some classe are offered on a weekly basis, mostly in the evening, while others run in intensive mode over the weekend to minimise time away from other responsibilities.
