How will Covid affect my MBA application?

Many MBA application deadlines for the 2020-21 intakes have been released, with most of the top b-schools opting for a multiple-round format.

While some schools have paused their MBA offerings for the foreseeable future, plenty of institutions are currently preparing to welcome students for the fall semester.

When looking at the table below, it’s important to check the individual admissions pages of the schools themselves, as deadlines can be subject to change and might vary according to your own personal circumstances.

What round should I apply in?

Applying in the first round of applications is often preferred, as no seats will have been filled in the program yet, which means you’ll have less competition. The second round typically receives the largest volume of applications, and the third round is often the most competitive as most places on a program are already filled. International applicants are encouraged to apply in earlier rounds to allow enough time to secure a student visa and sort out the required admin and documents needed when moving to a new country.

However, it’s recommended that you apply only when you feel confident about your application. There’s no point in rushing it just to make an earlier round’s deadline – make sure you are happy with every element before sending it off.
