About Suliman S. Olayan School of Business

COVID-19 Information: Please check the end of this section

Business education at AUB started in 1900 and was provided either by a Department or a semi-autonomous School under the University’s Faculty of Arts and Sciences for approximately one hundred years. In celebration of the hundred-year anniversary of offering business programs, AUB established in September 2000 an independent School of Business (later named the Suliman S. Olayan School of Business, “OSB”) as the sixth Faculty of the University. To date, AUB has graduated over 6,000 students from its undergraduate business programs and over 1,200 from its graduate business programs. Since its formal establishment as a distinct school, OSB has grown its full-time faculty complement from 13 in the academic year 2000–2001 to over 45 today. It now graduates approximately 350 students from its undergraduate program and 60 students from its graduate programs every year. OSB currently offers three degree programs: an Executive Master of Business Administration (herein referred to as the “Executive MBA”), a Master of Business Administration (herein referred to as the “MBA”) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (herein referred to as the “BBA”). Our Executive MBA Program The AUB EMBA is for evolving business leaders interested in innovative strategic thinking and continuous self-renewal. Its integrated curriculum is specifically designed to provide a state-of-the-art global leadership toolkit. Rather than offering separate courses with each taken on a stand-alone basis, the Executive MBA follows a theme approach where each semester deal with a MAJOR THEME approached through requisite modules. This way, participants are theme-focused during an entire semester and therefore integrate courses taken during that semester on the basis of their thematic commonality. Our MBA Program The MBA program requires students to complete 42 credit hours for those admitted without the 18 credits pre-MBA foundation courses. A core menu comprising 24 credit hours is common to all students as well as a 3-credit MBA project. The remaining 15 credit hours are elective courses, at least 12 credits of which are in one of the following concentration areas: accounting, finance, management, marketing, business information and decision systems. The program’s delivery format caters to the participants’ professional commitments and can take anywhere from 14 to 30 months to complete.

COVID19 information

As we deal with these challenging times, we at Suliman Olayan School of Business have mobilized our Executive MBA team to remain fully functioning and committed to our students for a seamless experience. We have many executives currently enrolled in our Executive MBA program, and we are completely dedicated to the program and their planned completion. As our program is already designed for the highest quality standards in a blended learning experience, we were able to adapt efficiently to the current situation by offering our residency sessions in an online setting.

We are currently accepting applications on a rolling basis for our upcoming September 2020 cohort

Yet, due to the global situation, we understand that travel might be limited and worrisome for our participants. As a result, we have set up all our residency sessions to be recorded and also available for live streaming through our virtual platforms that enable our remote students to interact with the professor and the other participants as if they are all present in the same classroom.

For any inquiries, please contact us on our email [email protected] or contact our Program Manager, Ms. Karma Arakji Jaroudi ([email protected]), we are more than happy to help.

Don’t miss out on what is often referred to as a career transforming experience.
