Toronto’s Schulich School of Business, at York University, has announced a new partnership with innovation consulting firm, Kinetic Café, which is designed to support and help Schulich MBA students with a passion for entrepreneurship to launch their own startup companies.

Kinetic Café, established in 2011 and home to some of Canada’s leading digital industry entrepreneurs and experts, helps new enterprises move from concept to reality by offering client services ranging from strategy to in-house technology and production.

In the first of what is expected to be a series of new links, the partnership will allow Schulich MBA students to attend Kinetic Café’s series of entrepreneurship events entitled, ‘Minds Beat Money’, as well as the chance to win free services from the innovation firm in the upcoming Schulich Startup Day Competition.

In his new role, Carder will serve as coach and mentor to Schulich MBA students. In so doing, he will add to the school’s existing expertise in entrepreneurship which already counts six faculty members in this field.

“Schulich attracts many of the best young business minds from Canada and around the world with its globally oriented MBA program. I look forward to the chance to spend time connecting, innovating and sharing ideas with these amazing young people,” said Carder in a press release

The Schulich MBA, which includes an optional specialization in entrepreneurial studies, jumped from fifth to second position in the top 10 business schools in Canada according to international recruiters in this year’s QS Global 200 Business Schools Report.
