The Skolkovo Foundation is a Russian innovation body responsible for developing new technologies and bringing them to the market. For Vera Kravchenko, therefore, it has always seemed an eminently logical place at which to work. “For as long as I can remember I’ve always wanted to do something socially important. I truly believe that the innovations that go through the foundation have the potential to re-shape the world and lead us to a new, sustainable future.”
Kravchenko works for the Skolkovo Foundation as a commercialization manager, helping tech startups to develop their businesses models. It is a commitment to helping these small enterprises and a firm belief in the value of what they have to offer that has led her to decide to enroll on an MBA. “As Lewis Carroll wrote, ‘we must run as fast as we can, just to stay in place. And if you wish to go anywhere you must run twice as fast as that.’ The ideas that I can offer to the startup community today won’t be on the cutting edge tomorrow. That’s why I decided to apply for an MBA.”
