Hello again from the TopMBA.com Weekly Pulse, where all of your favorite MBA blogs – and some you didn’t even know existed – are featured!

Let’s get this edition started with some bad news (don’t worry, it will get better!). Pulling That MBA Trigger finally heard back from Booth – sadly, it was a ding. Still, three more schools to hear back from! My Life of Bliss follows the long-standing format of breaking bad news first, before moving on to the good, with news of her invite to interview at USC Marshall.

With the bad news behind us, we move on to more positive decisions. My Journey to Business School has three schools to choose from, but which one will make the final cut? And does anyone else think that deciding on an MBA program could easily be a reality TV show? Naija MBA Gal has some advice for those folks who have been invited to interview with their round two schools.

You probably have some idea that an MBA is a time-consuming process. Welcome to the Pulse, Fork in the Road, whose MBA at Darden certainly confirms this to be the case! 2 years at HBS almost gets sentimental about the final term at HBS, but with all of that hard work about to come to fruition, there’s surely a big payoff to look forward to as well! Also new to the Pulse, Asanas and an MBA reflects on the case study competition that her team recently won. Congratulations!

Here is a little heartwarming (Minneapolis is cold!) guide from EF Essays about organizing a fundraiser. He doesn’t mention passion explicitly, but don’t worry though, it comes across by osmosis!

To finish, why not catch up with GMU Business School students who have recently returned from their trip to Chile (Minneapolis is also…chilly?!) Finally, Kellogg professor Dimitris Papanikolaou has received an award for his research on investment firms and why they tend to invest in things like Uber and Facebook instead of high value stocks (the expansion of low operating cost businesses is predicted to be a key trend this year).
