At Baylor University’s Hankamer School of Business, there is a full-time MBA program with two study track options, an accelerated 16-month track option and a traditional 21-month program. The Baylor MBA program’s top priority is to develop accomplished leaders with both integrity and purpose.

The Baylor MBA program has several aims for its MBA students, including learning in the real world by working with companies to develop viable solutions for an actual business, and helping secure a future with the career management team. The program also uses experiential learning to help students put the theory they learn class into practice. The focus firm class gives students actual company experience, instead of just analyzing case studies. The focus firm starts by discussing the company’s goals and culture with the student teams. They then work with project sponsors in the organization to collect data, research trends and develop recommendations before present findings to the company executives.

Baylor has a theme of ‘define… discover… deliver’, which is the foundation for the core of its MBA courses. The standard full-time MBA degree plan consists of core classes, electives, and specializations. There are business foundation courses for students who start the MBA program without an undergraduate degree in business, with classes in accounting, economics, finance, business law, and statistics. Core classes for the full-time MBA include accounting planning, operations strategy: concepts and fundamentals, management communication, production and cost analysis, corporate finance implementation, and market structure analysis and estimation. There are electives available for further study with a number of modules within each. Themes include accounting, business law, economics, entrepreneurship, finance, information security, management, and management information systems. Finally, specializations in the MBA program allow students to develop a deep understanding of a specific business function or industry. The specialization options are either entrepreneurship or healthcare administration.

Graduates of the MBA program at Baylor University are extremely successful. The average starting salary for 2017 graduates was US$73,314, with an average signing bonus of US$8,115. Job placement was also very high, with 93% of graduates accepting a job within 90 days. Hiring companies include BNSF, Hilton, JPMorgan Chase, Sabre, Dell Computers, and Tesoro.
