Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - Calcutta

Indian Institute of Management Calcutta is the oldest IIM in India. If India had an Ivy League, IIM Calcutta would surely be amongst the top. The school was founded in 1961 in collaboration with Sloan School of Management, MIT, Ford Foundation and the Government of India. The IIMs conduct a common admission test (CAT) which, arguably, is more difficult than the GMAT.Over the years, IIMC has grown into a mature institution with global reputation, imparting high quality management education. It has been playing a pioneering role in professionalizing Indian management through its Post Graduate and Doctoral level programs, Executive Training Programs, Research and Consulting Activities.

Today, the Institute serves as an autonomous body, continually evolving to meet its goals in an ever-changing business environment.
