IM Calcutta launched the PGPEX in 2006 to develop experienced and ambitious executives for leadership positions in global organizations. The program gives mid-career professionals the ideal platform to augment their existing skill and enables the already experienced professionals to continuously update their knowledge and capabilities to manage change and transformation in a globally competitive environment. The program provides conceptual and analytical foundations in all the functional areas of management and underlying disciplines with a scope to develop communication, leadership, team building skills, in a diverse and cross cultural environment. It includes international immersion module as a part of the curriculum, which provides an opportunity to the students to work in a group in a cross-cultural environment and learn how to address business issues. The programme is structured to harness and synergize management techniques offered by renowned in-house as well as visiting faculty. The rich domain experience of the students is augmented by the constant engagements with public and industry champions, business luminaries and CEOs who share their rich insights with the students. On completion of the course, the students are able to implement new ideas, play leadership roles and contribute significantly to the growth and development of their organizations. The successful students have been recruited in leading organizations under consulting firms to business groups.
