The Monaco Business School is the business school of the International University of Monaco (IUM), a private business school recognized and certified by the Government of Monaco. Founded in 1986, IUM is a member of European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), and European Council of International Schools (ECIS); it also benefits from partnerships with the Group INSEEC Research Laboratory.

The AMBA-accredited IUM MBA offers students a thorough business education in English in a highly diverse cultural environment, with small class sizes and individualized attention. IUM’s graduates occupy leading management positions all around the world, with IUM training and alumni providing a passport to valuable international contacts.

IUM’s business school is set in Monte-Carlo, in a scenic French Riviera location next to the Port of Fontvieille, near the Princess Grace Rose Garden and helipad. Along with its stunning location, the Monaco MBA offers many opportunities for experience, both inside and outside the classroom, in the worlds of luxury and innovation. It also provides privileged access to Monaco’s unique entrepreneurial hub and international business community, representing 125 nationalities, 5,000 companies, over 70 international banking and finance institutions, a private sector worth over €9 billion (US$10.4 billion) and entrepreneur and business-friendly low taxation rates.

Additional benefits of the IUM MBA include: dedicated personal development sessions with leadership coaches; interactive professional development seminars, workshops, and simulations with executive recruiters, HR directors, and other senior executives; and, for students with an entrepreneurial bent, the opportunity to work with successful investors who can help them create and pitch business plans.

The IUM MBA program is usually completed as a full-time residential course over 10 months. There are three specialization tracks available in luxury management, applied finance (private banking & wealth management), and entrepreneurship & innovation management, as well as the general MBA track.

The program for both MBA formats includes common core courses – financial accounting and reporting, statistics for business, economics for managers, global strategy & leadership, innovation management, and organizational behavior and cross-cultural management; specialized electives; career and personal development seminars; and a corporate consulting project. Previous companies for the consulting project have included Fendi Casa, Bottega Veneta, Monaco Financial Association, Puma, and Sotheby’s International, among others.

The MBA program tuition fees for the 2017-2018 academic year were set at €35,000 (US$40,560), IUM also offers a range of different scholarships ranging from €1,000 (US$1,158) to €5,000 (US$5,792).

Post-graduation, 88% of students are employed within three months, with an average increase on pre-MBA salary of more than 100%. The school reports that 25% of its graduates have successfully launched their own companies.
