The Master of Science in Finance Program at Koç University provides a thorough foundation in finance and enhances the applied financial analysis and research skills needed by finance professionals. Students are first introduced to the general framework of financial theories and concepts in Corporate Finance, Investments, and Macroeconomics. 

 

Knowledge and skills acquired in the initial courses allow for advanced discussions in Financial Markets and Institutions, Financial Derivatives and Advanced Corporate Finance. Finally, students apply their cumulative knowledge in case-oriented courses such as Bank Financial Management or Valuation and Corporate Restructuring. 

 

CFA institute is the largest global membership association of investment professionals, with over 142,000 members in more than 159 countries. The institute administers CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) and CIPM (Certificate in Investment Performance Measurement) curriculum and exam programs worldwide and partners with a limited number of select institutions that cover a significant portion of the CFA Program curriculum in their degree programs. The partner universities are recognized as leaders and serves as role models to other institutions. Koç University is selected as the first partner program in Turkey and one of 130 CFA Program partners in Europe and provides scholarships to its selected students for the CFA exams. 

 

The program is non-thesis program with 6 core courses and 5 electives. It is designed to be completed in a 12-month period organized in 3 semesters. Classes are held on two evenings in weekdays (Monday and Wednesday) from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm and on Saturdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm throughout the year. Classes are held at the Koç University İstinye Campus.
