The La Trobe MBA is designed with the working professional in mind who’s seeking to accelerate their career in general management.
The MBA’s flexible delivery mode allows you to study at your own pace and choose classes that fit in with your professional commitments. Students can choose between full-time or part-time study modes, with full-time students completing the program in three semesters (18 months). Classes are taught either in the evenings or at weekends.
Within four months of graduating, 87.8 percent of La Trobe graduates secure employment.
Program structure
The La Trobe MBA consists of 12 subjects: eight compulsory core subjects and four additional electives. Students also complete two Core Professional Experience Activities. Elective subjects aim to give students the opportunity to either specialize in a particular area of interest, or to diversify their skills and knowledge base. Electives include:
Business analysis
Understand the context and fundamentals of business so you can make informed choices.
Accounting
Refine your skills in accounting to better analyze business practices.
Innovation
Learn how to think creatively and drive change across an organization.
Responsible leadership
Gain an understanding of how best to manage people and projects towards ethical and sustainable outcomes.
Entrepreneurship
Be ready to take your business plans from conception to completion.
Core Professional Experiences
In addition to traditional subjects, students complete a Career Development e-portfolio which allows you to showcase your professional development. Students also take part in the Boardroom Simulation, an intensive simulation of actual boardroom situations and dilemmas faced by organizations.

Tuition fees for the La Trobe MBA are $40,200 AUD.
Full-fee paying students may be eligible for the La Trobe College Excellence Scholarship and receive up to a 25 percent reduction on course fees. Find out what other La Trobe scholarship opportunities might be available to you on their website.
