Admission Requirements

This programme does not require results from a GMAT, GRE or equivalent standardised test. Applicants who have taken a test are encouraged to submit their results if they feel their score will strengthen their application. The following materials are required to complete your application:
  • Personal statements (essays)
  • Two references
  • Resume/CV
  • English proficiency
  • Academic Transcripts
  • Video interview


A good undergraduate degree from a recognised university – a minimum of UK Second Class Honours (Upper Division - 2:1) or the international equivalent, as well as a minimum of five years’ full-time work experience after completion of an undergraduate degree and before starting the MBA programme, or a minimum of seven years’ work experience, with a least two years spent in a senior executive leadership role, if you do not have a good undergraduate degree.

This helps you solve relevant business challenges while you study, not at some point in the distant future.
The UCL MBA has rolling admissions, which means you can register at any point in the year. There are multiple start dates in the year so you can pick and choose when you want to start your MBA journey.
When reviewing applications for the UCL MBA programme, we take a holistic look at your academic history, professional experience, personal statement, references and admissions interview. Our entry requirements provide the UCL Admissions Committee with information that is pivotal for choosing the best candidates for the programme. Applicants should have a minimum of an upper second-class bachelor’s degree (2:1) from a UK university or an overseas qualification of an equivalent standard. Applicants who do not meet this criteria will be required to demonstrate their suitability via their professional experience. Applicants who meet the required academic experience criteria must have a minimum of five years of full-time work experience.
