The Edinburgh MBA has a focus on Strategic Leadership and Strategy. We aim to advance individuals leadership capability and prepare them for an environment that is increasingly volatile, complex and uncertain.  We believe those in a leadership role need to have a holistic understanding of business, a creative and entrepreneurial mind-set, a global perspective, responsible values and the skills needed to lead change in organisations.

The Edinburgh MBA enjoys extensive business engagement, and integrates consultancy-style projects within the programme.  These include opportunities to work with organisations ranging from high-tech, innovative spin-out companies, charitable and not-for-profit organisations to multinational corporations, in order to help MBA participants extend and enrich their CVs with valuable additional experience.  Located at the heart of a capital city and high-tech entrepreneurial ecosystem, we can offer enviable opportunities to engage in highly practical assignments and access to over 100 business practitioner events each year. Our MBAs participate in annual thematic business engagement treks (e.g. Global Challenges in Iceland; and Women in Leadership in London). In addition, we offer electives taught in international destinations, which, in the past, have included Colombia, India and China/Hong Kong, which provides access to a truly international, and transforming student experience.
