Top MBA Internship Opportunities in Canada
By Niamh Ollerton
Updated UpdatedCanada is one of the world’s largest economies and trading nations, so it’s no wonder it’s also seen as one of the top locations to undertake an internship as both a national and international MBA student.
The nation is known for its dedication to providing generous benefits for its workforce, meaning interns should be treated well during their internship.
If you do decide to intern in Canada, you’ll be submerged in a perfect combination of opportunities for professional development, while getting to work in one of the most magical, beautiful countries in the world.
Let’s take a look at some of the best internships available in Canada.
Customer Success Offerings internship
Autodesk is offering MBA students the opportunity to undertake a Customer Success Offerings Product Management internship in Quebec, Montréal.
Interns dissect what customers say to find out what they truly want and enlighten stakeholders and functional groups about those needs to ensure everyone understands the “why” behind product initiatives.
Participants will be involved in customer intelligence and market research, support the Service Offerings team on product launches and assist on various major ad hoc creative projects.
Interns must be students on an accredited program in Canada with at least one academic term left following the internships. You should have an academic focus on marketing or finance, experience in quant and qualitative analysis courses as well as knowledge of tech and pulses.
Sun Life MBA internships
Find out what it’s like at Sun Life through a co-op term or summer internship, located at the Toronto, Waterloo and Montréal offices.
Every year, five interns enrolled on an MBA program are hired by the Private Fixed Income (PFI) Group onto a program that supports and contributes to management of the PFI portfolio.
Interns are given the opportunity to participate in investor meetings, monitor existing private debt investments, and contribute to due diligence for new investments.
If you’re interested in pursuing a career in finance, human resource, actuarial, or data management fields, look no further than the opportunities at SunLife Financial.
The roles are advertised through the company’s co-op career centre each semester.

Interns will have full and sole responsibility for the group of stocks they’re assigned (approx. three to eight) to analyze. Participants will have access to Equity Analysts and will be assigned a Portfolio Manager mentor.
At the end of the internship, the Intern will present their findings and provide investment recommendations to the portfolio managers and analysts. A full‐time offer will be offered to candidates who demonstrate the skills and passion to become a successful full-time equity analyst.
Participants must be first-year MBA students. Candidates with superior undergraduate academic records from all majors are encouraged to apply. Demonstrated enthusiasm for investment management and equities is a plus, but previous work experience in finance isn’t required.
