At Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University's Graduate School of Management (GSM), students focus on learning about the Japanese style of management based on an understanding of the fundamental theories and principals of international management and business. It is the only graduate school of its kind where students can study Japanese-style management in an all-English curriculum. In Times Higher Education's 2018 ranking of Japanese universities, APU placed at the top of private institutions in the Environment category, which focuses on the proportion of international students and staff, number of students in international exchange programs, and classes taught in languages besides Japanese. APU has been one of Japan's Top Global Universities since 2014, a 10-year funded program established by the Japanese government. GSM has unique features compared with other programs at APU, with half of the faculty consisting of non-Japanese members and a student body of almost 100% international students. GSM has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 2016, meaning its program is held to a high international standard of business education. Students
