Between structuring your resumé and highlighting your key strengths in the personal statement, applying to business school is far from an easy process.

We caught up with two MBA students to find out what applicants should look out for.

Catie Mannarino, Goizeta Business School MBA Class of 2020 student, advises candidates to enjoy the process.

She says: “I felt so panicked and over-analyzed everything I was writing as part of my essays – but in retrospect it’s kind of the calm before diving into an MBA.”

So what should prospective students focus on instead?

Catie says: “I wish I had really enjoyed that time more and I just focused more on being myself when going to interviews rather than thinking about everything I was gonna say and making sure everything sounded perfect.”

Mary Olayinka, Finance student at McCallum Graduate School of Business, says students should choose programs based on learning and financial opportunities.

Mary says she chose McCallum because she felt the school would allow her to not only develop her skillset, but also receive the financial aid she needed.
