ROI (return on investment) is a crucial barometer for any prospective student weighing up postgraduate business education options – not least when it comes to the executive MBA program format, aimed at professionals who already possess high levels of experience.
Terry Akitt, executive MBA program manager at IMD Lausanne, believes that it can be difficult to quantify the qualification’s ROI precisely, particularly once you get past a short-term assessment. Can one even put a price on the type of professional, and personal, development that an executive MBA program seeks to deliver? Do we need to consider EMBA ROI from both an individual's viewpoint as well as that of the company they work for?
