Only two European schools in the 2014/15 Global 200 ranking have an average GMAT score exceeding the 700 mark. Check out our top 11 list to find out which ones!
GMAT scores at the 65 European schools featuring in the Global 200 MBA rankings vary greatly, ranging from a high 702 to a low of 550: a range of 152 points.
Only frontrunners London Business School and INSEAD have average GMAT scores of 700 or over – one fewer than the Asia-Pacific ranking, which is made up of only 30 schools. The entire North American top 10, and a good few beyond, can boast average GMAT scores of over 700.
The average GMAT score for the region stands at 628, which compares to 651 in the US & Canada. This lower average might be ascribed to the prevalence of the one-year format in Europe, which is aimed traditionally at more experienced candidates with greater workplace responsibility. This, of course, leaves less time to study for standardized tests (and longer outside of the educational system) with the focus in the admissions process shifting to experience gained in the workplace.
