Online MBA programs are rapidly becoming a mature degree offering that deserves respect among prospective students and employers alike. The QS Distance Online MBA Rankings2018 include 50 programs from around the world that were assessed based on six key indicators.
Employability: 30%
Student Quality: 15%
Establishment in the Online MBA Market: 15%
Faculty and Teaching: 15%
Class Experience: 15%
Diversity: 10%
Employability is determined by analyzing responses to the QS Employer Survey. Each year thousands of employers respond to the survey with the opportunity to nominate specific business schools that they believe are produce the best graduates.
The remaining inputs are provided by participating schools and then standardized and scaled in accordance with their assigned weights. You can see the individual components that make up each of these high-level indicators in the infographic below.

* In addition to the required accreditation depicted above (AACSB, AMBA, or EQUIS/EPAS), ACBSP accreditation is also now accepted for inclusion in the QS Distance Online MBA Ranking. Please note that programs not holding accreditation from one of the three leading global accreditation bodies, however, will receive zero points for the accreditation ranking input.
