Our brief admission process for the Executive MBA in Energy at the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma, from completing the application to the final interview, is all done remotely. An interested applicant is encouraged to directly contact the program recruiter: Mary Lurry at [email protected] or by calling directly at 1-855-OUEEMBA. A contact form is also available on our website at: http://www.ou.edu/price/mba/embainenergy
We have two recruitment webinars scheduled on Thursday 5/14/2020 and Wednesday 5/20/2020. The form to sign up for these webinars can be located at: https://go.pardot.com/l/502651/2020-04-28/227drvg
We have a rolling admission and our application deadlines are mid-June for applications for Fall start and mid-November for Spring start. Interested applicants are strongly encouraged to apply as soon as possible in order to order to maximize the time to complete the required pre-work before starting the program. International students are particularly encouraged to apply well in advance of the deadline, so all necessary arrangements are made for attending the program’s first module at the University’s main campus in Norman.
Specialized graduate programs have an additional advantage of a focused curriculum and bringing together cohorts of students with in-depth knowledge of a field or industry, as well as instructors and guest speakers with expertise about that industry. This provides both a holistic as well as an in-depth understanding of an industry. While all Executive MBA program have their benefits, those students coming from industries undergoing changes are the ones who are most likely to benefit from a specialized EMBA by providing a more targeted management skill set and preparing them to be leaders through the transitional years. Energy is an example of such an industry. It is faced with a number of disruptive forces and is undergoing significant transition which will persist for some time. It is also a particularly complex and unique industry. Thus, a specialized EMBA to train professionals working in energy to take on the mantle of leadership in that industry makes a lot of sense. Now is a great time to start our 15-month, hybrid EMBA in Energy program. Its all-energy, only energy curriculum and experiential learning, designed to prepare leaders for the industry, is particularly suitable for accelerated career growth for energy professionals.
