With recruiters seeking hires that have strong analytical skills, as these courses grow in popularity, so does their selectivity. Here are the top 10 programs according to the QS Masters in Business Analytics Rankings 2018:

1. MIT Sloan School of Management, US - Masters of Business Analytics

First in our global ranking is Sloan School of Management at MIT. This prestigious US institution’s year-long course is designed to help students prepare for careers in business analytics, and benefits from world-class faculty and facilities. 2. The McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin, US - Master of Science in Business Analytics

In second place is another US-based institution. McComb’s 10-month program helps students understand how to harness and utilize the vast amounts of data which have become common in business. It’s the only program at the institution which fulfills STEM certification. The course ranks second for employability and value for money, fifth for thought leadership, and eighth for alumni outcomes.

3. USC Marshall School of Business, US - Master of Science in Business Analytics

Third place goes to another US school, Marshall at USC. The course is a comprehensive program that provides students with the skills they need to become experts in business analytics and data sciences. Students receive broad and in-depth training in business analytics and data analysis. The institution ranks second for alumni outcomes, sixth for employability, and 11th for value for money.

 4. Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota, US - Master of Science in Business Analytics

8. Eli Broad College of Business, Michigan State University, US - Master of Science in Business Analytics

Another US-based institution takes eighth place this year. 9. Krannert School of Management, Purdue University, US - Masters of Science in Business Analytics and Information Management

The school offers a number of specializations, such as supply chains, to allow students to tailor the course to their interests. 10. IE Business School, Spain - Master in Business Analytics & Big Data

In 10th place is the third European institution on the list. IE offers a 10-month qualification which focuses on big data and business analytics.
